1890's Enamel Squirrel Locket

A truly wonderful antique jewelry piece circa 1890. Done with robin's egg blue enamel on a goldfilled locket featuring a squirrel holding an acorn! The back is done with engraved flowers. Two sided box chain with engraving down each link. Clasp at center front for that classic Victorian look. Acorns were a symbol of strength and prosperity.

Measurements are as follows: 

Chain length: 17"

Condition: Excellent – The piece shows typical, although minor, signs of wear. Front clasp is a little tricky as it is so old. Still solid. Minor patina.
